Another gold and a first smile from Little Ava. 🥋🏆❤️
Congratulations Magda on your Purple Belt!
Your commitment to studying and practicing Jiu Jitsu is clearly paying off. Day after day you have shown discipline, focus and the willingness to learn.
Very proud of you. 🥋❤️
Sharon and Gilbert are a great example of what our community is all about. Showing up together, supporting each other and putting in the work on the mats. The journey becomes even more meaningful when it is shared with family.
Consistency, discipline and a positive attitude are the foundations that build strong athletes and strong families. It is inspiring to see both of them growing in Jiu Jitsu side by side.
Proud to have you both on the team. 🥋❤️
Kids Competition Team – 2026
The next phase is underway.
Our Kids Competition Team continues to level up preparing to face new challenges in 2026.
These young athletes show discipline, focus and strong character every time they step on the mats. They are learning that success comes from consistent work, respect for their training partners and commitment to the process.
We are proud to watch them grow not only as competitors but as people. The future of our team is in great hands. 🥋❤️🏆
Black Belt #35 – Shane Hutton 🥋
Some journeys deserve to be celebrated not just for the belt earned, but for the character built along the way.
Shane, you are a true example of dedication and commitment. Every single session you show up with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a very loud laugh and determination that inspires everyone around you. You don’t just train you lead by example.
Watching your growth over the years has been a privilege. The consistency, the resilience and the way you carry yourself on and off the mats reflect what Jiu Jitsu is truly about. You’re above all a great friend.
I’m incredibly proud of you and genuinely grateful to have been part of your journey. This black belt is not just a rank , it’s a reflection of the man you are.
Well earned. Well deserved.
A strong showing from our kids team. Here is part of the group who made a clear statement, stepping onto the mats and performing at the highest standard in the most prestigious BJJ circuit in the country.
Composure, discipline and heart were on display all day. These young athletes represented our values with class and professionalism, setting the benchmark for what is expected at this level.
Proud of the effort. Proud of the example. This is how future champions are built.
There is value in starting the day on the mats. Movement sharpens the mind. This is how winning habits are formed, one morning at a time. Consistency, effort and discipline.
Positive mornings build strong people.
Part of the Sorriso BJJ girls team, when the environment is right the focus stays where it belongs. It’s about training with purpose and becoming a better version of ourselves.
Respect for every training partner and zero tolerance for ego or unsafe behaviour.
Our Little Cubs program is where the journey starts. Ages 5 to 8 is a critical development window and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides the right structure, discipline and values at the right time. This program is purpose built to deliver long term outcomes that matter:
• Confidence through skill acquisition – children learn to solve problems calmly and effectively
• Discipline and focus – clear rules, routines and respect for instruction
• Physical literacy – balance, coordination, posture and body awareness
• Emotional control – learning to manage wins, losses and challenges
• Respect and teamwork – training with partners in a safe supervised environment. Progress measured over time, not rushed. This is not about short term hype. It is about setting standards and building habits that support school, sport and life.
The most important aspect of Sorriso BJJ
On the mats, we train with intensity while looking after one another. That balance is deliberate. It is embedded in our culture and reinforced every day.
Respect for training partners.
Respect for coaches.
Respect for the art and the process.
Friendship is built through shared effort, accountability and time on the mat. Trust is earned through consistency and mutual respect. The outcome is a safe, professional and welcoming environment where everyone can perform, progress and belong.
